Open RSS item link

In Thunderbird, since the Supernova update, when I double-click a feed item to open it in a new tab, it does just that. But in previous versions, it opened the webpage from the <link> tag. That was much more helpful, as the feed item description often contains only beginning of the text. I now have to open the item in a new tab and then click the link on top, which opens the webpage in an internet browser.

Is there a setting to restore the behaviour from previous versions? Or could you please add it?
