Hi dears! I'm new to the community and forgive me if I post this idea and someone has already suggested it. I've abandoned Safari and I'm loving Firefox again 🙂 Sometimes when I accidentally closed a tab in Safari on my computer, I would just press Cmd + z on Mac (the same idea of Control + Z) to "undo" things and the tab would reappear. I don't know if this type of "undo" behavior is protected by any intellectual property or royalties from Apple or Microsoft. I would like to suggest this feature to the dev team, which I believe is easy to implement using the following strategy to solve this: When the person closes the tab, Firefox will temporarily hide tab for a few seconds (the same flow as close tab, but using a time counter...) If the user type Control + Z or Cmd + Z (for Macs), the tab would simply be reappear. This way is simple to implement, because the resource (tab and objects) not completely "deallocated" from memory, giving the user a chance to quickly think: Wow, I closed the wrong tab, and he would have a few seconds to give the command and restore the tab to its original state. So, When user close tab, the firefox hide this tab for a few seconds before "destroy" the objects. in thunderbird the actions compact folders empty trash are reachable through file menu and  compact folders is reachable through right click   "empty trash" often is the step to do before "compact folders" -> the workflow needs different menues -> not intuitive and slower than needed -> suggestions: have "empty trash" reachable via right click have a combined "empty trash and compact folders" reachable via right click (and in the file menu usable for all marked accounts)    ... I think it would be really useful to have a button to open all the tabs of another device in a window with one click, it could be inserted at the end of the open tabs on "account" when it shows all the tabs of the various connected devices, and it would also be nice if the side bar remained open when you click an open tab on another device with the mouse wheel ... It would be very helpful if it was possible to enable an option whereby TB, after sending each email, prompts for a name and path where to save it as a pdf. It would be amazing if it could work in conjunction with the really great Copy Sent to Current add-on to allow the following for each email: 1) archive the reply and the original email in a TB folder to be chosen each time and 2) save each reply as a PDF in a computer folder to be chosen each time. thank you ... Dear Thunderbird Development Team and Community, my suggestion is to add different outgoing mail servers for the mobile app like it is the case on Thunderbird Desktop. So one can have a different outgoing mail server for an alias address. Connected to this, I would suggest to change the design of the "select outgoing mail address" dialog in the app to make it a bit more intuitive, but this is only a minor thing. HI Having  lot of TABs open, i frequently use " Close Left Tabs " or " Close Right Tabs "  with the use of Context-Menue from TABs. ( right click mouse - select - klick ) IT WAS VERY USEFUL to have for each a SYMBOL to invoke that action in the TOOLBAR / ICONBAR. Right click and select "look up" and get a definition of a word. I'm trying to get away from Chrome. I don't like Google. I am TRYING to love Firefox, but it's missing so many basic things. You can right click and select "look up" and get a definition in every other popular browser besides Firefox. Chrome, Brave, Safari, Edge. They ALL have this feature. Why? Because it's a basic feature that should be included in every web browser. This is seriously blowing my mind that this option doesn't exist in Firefox. I searched around the web and everywhere tells me to install: "Google Dictionary (by Google)" Yeah, that doesn't exist. Or to install: "Dictionary Anywhere" Yeah, that is broken and doesn't work. The reason why people aren't using Firefox is because it is missing a TON of basic features. Like less than 3% of the internet uses Firefox. And I bet 1/2 those users are the entire Linux community. Okay, you are in 'normal' Firefox. In normal Firefox, you have a link/URL you want to open in Private Browsing. I want to have the possibility to 'set' that link or URL to open in Private Browsing. Yes, I know you can click that 'every time,' but I want to set it permanently. So every time I'm in normal Firefox and click on that link/URL, it should automatically open in Private browsing. I'd appreciate it if it was possible to long-press select some text on mobile Firefox (Android for me, but ios too) and use the offline translation feature on that selection alone. Reading through a long page in a foreign language I somewhat understand, I found myself stumped by one sentence or two. I wish Firefox would let me to translate only those, and not force me to wait longer to translate the entire page. This is already possible on desktop. Many a time has it happened that when I start up my browser to pick up where I left off with the tabs of the previous session I accidentaly click on "clear search history" due to it's location. Meaning that when you click "history" you have it immediately under the cursor. The "restore previous session" is higher up on the ladder. This often causes all the tabs to be deleted as one "accidentaly" clicks to clear the history instead of restoring the session. Not a big thing but still kinda frustrating if one has loads of tabs open permanently like me.   Thanks in advance. ... View more

A long time ago... I used to keep track of tasks using 3x5 cards and a spring clip.  Similar to Thunderbird tasks, I had a due date, Title, Notes, critical things, costs, etc.  Professionally, I'm a lead engineer, not a manager. What I could do with the 3x5 deck is rearrange each task/project card in the order that represented current project priorities.  This wasn't a matter of “setting” priority, I would physically reorder the deck, effectively changing progression through the deck.  This way priority, long lead items, and dependencies were addressed with a “simple” reordering of the deck. I'd like to do the same with the Thunderbird Task list.  Think of each line item as a 3×5 card with task information, and let me drag-n-drop the tasks (3×5 cards) as things continue to change in the project(s).  This way I can change things after discussion with peers and fine tune with management. I'd find the 3×5 card approach more useful and less effort to maintain my task list as things complete and are discussed. Can something like this be done? Unload is a great feature to save ram but sometime I don't want that some tabs are automatically unload. I think that pinning them means that are important and the user doesn't want to lose any data in them. Please stop the auto-unloading of the pinned tabs, or at least make it optional. Thank you ...
