Similar to the "send tab to device" or "open in new container tab" in the context menu that shows up when right clicking a tab in the tab bar. or even an "open in not-private window" option in the "move tab" submenu.

right now if I want to access I page I've navigated to in my non-private context I do <c-l><c-w><m-tab><c-t><c-p><cr> which works but is a bit of a mouthful.

Similar idea here: open private tabs in normal tabs

Firefox for Android: move private tab to a normal tab

Firefox Mobile

I use "open links in a private tab" on my phone as it is a safer way to open links without having them taking me. In a private tab I can accept all cookies instead of painfully navigating to find the "only required" button.

This is great for 90% if links. But every one in a while I open a link where I want to be logged in. So I have to manually copy the URL and paste it on a new normal tab. Possible solutions could be:

  • add an option to open a link in a normal tab once. I don't really know how ux would look like here.
  • Add an option to change a private tab into a normal tab
  • Add a setting option "ask every time" to open links in a private or normal tab. This one has the advantage that it also works for deeplinks that would normally redirect to an error page in a private tab so copying the URL is useless.

What do you guys think?
