Column sorting - leave the active line at the top of the new sorted column

When clicking the column header to sort by date/spelling, etc. Please leave the active line (new starting item in the new sort) at the top of the new sorted column.  It's a pain to have to scroll the listing back to the top to see the things that you are interested in, and the reason for the sort.  This is non standard behavior from my experience.  Drives me nuts.
