Translate default

I live in a spanish speaking country. If you could have a default translate option, that would make translate a lot more useful.  Sometimes it detects the Spanish and suggests English, but more often it has no clue and I have to pick Spanish from one pull down menu, and English from another. It's very tedious.

My issue is kind of similar, I use a German operation system but have everything in Firefox set to English. The translation dialogue target language defaults to German, but I feel the translations sound clunky. I want English to be the target language always by default.
