Thunderbird search result tab remain and will open a new tab when selecting a message

Sometime (very often if not all the time) when I select one mail in the mail search chronology result tab the whole search result disappear and I see only the message choose with the date reference, then I open the message and (very often if not all the time) the message I choose is not really the one i need......

The result is that to get back to the chronology result tab I need to make a new search! Why?

Just open a new tab and when i choose the wrong message I can just try another message in the search.

Why do you made by default the search tab to disappear?

I hope you find this observation useful, remake the same search is a waste of time
