Status: New idea

Currently, when you delete an email, a dialogue pops up to confirm your action, which seems less efficient to me.

Instead, I'd suggest an undo button at the bottom for a few seconds.

I'd also include an undo function when sending an email.

My immediate reaction was that you could go to the "Trash" folder and then move the email back to the "Inbox" but then I could not find any possibility to move or copy emails to another location. On Thunderbird desktop I often use copy or move for emails so I will look at opening another Idea with this suggestion.

After a bit of searching around I found the "Move" and "Copy" function.

When an email is open you can open the menu at the top right and open the menu item "Refile" at that point various options will open for the curent email including "move" and "copy"

Hi all,

About the deletion confirmation, I personally prefer confirming instead of cancelling a deletio. But anyways, why not just go and restore it from the bin?

I think @axel idea is a good idea. It's a fast way to undo and accidental action you've done for example when you are cleaning the inbox folder by swiping messages to the trash folder: if your finger has been faster than your mind (or you doubt it) your can than undo by just one tap instead of the other 'normal' and longer way. As the message is back to the inbox you can then decide again paying more attention. Just one tap, I think very useful, I'll use it.

Samsung Mail on Android has a an an undo function. I don't use it often but it would be nice to have on Thunderbird.
