Status: New idea

Hi,

In the same way as bookmarking a web page, it would be useful (for me at least)
to save (and load) complete sessions with a titled name for each. aka: "favorites sessions" folder in the history menu, for example When you study on several (many) pages of one topic and have to switch to another completely different topic with many web pages again, and, again, two days later, put back the pages you studied before
in the state they were in without searching through favorites, subpages, etc.

just a suggestion

Best,

Rudy

Maybe you could do something similar with tab groups which I think might be a thing in Brave browser. You could like make a tab group, and then save that group for the future

I think tab groups (currently being implemented) will let you do this. Follow this ideas thread to be notified about updates.

I use container and it works for me. But having the option to save sessions will be nice too.

Excellent idea!

Going further: Mozilla according to similar group "pools" created by various users (3-4 or more same sites/pages selected in the same group-data selected anonymously), and if requested, can suggest which other sites/pages could be useful to visit.

It would be okay if I could save the complete webpage as an HTML offline. This feature used to be there in old FF versions, but new webpages can;'t be saved like this. I try ti print the page as PDF, but formattings got messed up.

So, my request would be to either save as HTML or print as PDF to view offiline would be great.

I often thought of a pull down list of projects or interests I work on that when selected would open it's own respective set of tabs. Maybe 'Tab Groups' would be similar. Go for it.

Hi RajuDeka,

Ctrl "P" to save the page as pdf with printer manager set on print as pdf.

Ps: Save the whole session should be  save the url's not the full pages content.

Just hit Ctrl+Shift+D. This will save all tabs of a ff window into a bookmark folder.

Restore all tabs by bookmark folder->context menu->open all in new tabs.

As the exact requested functionality is already present, this issue could be closed imo. Also, the Mozilla employees need to know their product better.

Great idea! I've been waiting for this feature for too many years. Hopefully they will implement it soon!

@cencei I don't think it is helpful to pre-empt discussion or further suggestions by suggesting "this can be closed now".  This is a common trait of one-track thinkers who see the world through the lens of "how do things work for ME and my use-cases", as opposed to the way a product designer or UX designer thinks -- "How to ensure that solutions I make serve not just my own use-case, but also many many more that I only know of through user research". Second, through trivial, on MACs it is NOT Ctrl+Shift+D, which illustrates your presumptive thinking. It is COMMAND+Shift+D .
