Recherche (filtre) rapide (rapid search/filter in English?)

There was a time, not so long ago, when you type your key words, results show with the last message, corresponding to the search, selected. Now, it throws you away randomly far in the past, so you have to scroll and scroll to find your message (as most of the time we are looking for recent messages). Can't get use to this behavior, it was smarter before. Can it be "fixed"? Thank you for all the work you are doing anyway.
