Hello,

To help easily cleaning up the inbox from deprecated messages, I mean not junk ones but those which are no longer relevant, probably because more recent emails have been received, and reduce the environmental impact of storing useless emails, I'd suggest to add a "filter for similar" as button or context menu item. So, whenever you receive a new email, you can take this opportunity to easily filter then delete the deprecated ones from the same sender.

Today I fill up the quick filter manually but I think that a button is handier.

Fantastic idea!  I just had the same thought while cleaning up my inbox.  Came here, did a search and boom, found this idea.

I do this process periodically:

  1. filter a folder (usually inbox) by sender
  2. notice older emails no longer necessary
  3. use quick filter to get all that sender's emails
  4. browse and select some or all messages
  5. delete

I know, I know, I should clean up my inbox more regularly 😞

Please add this feature as a context menu item, as it would save me a lot of time

Thanks

Great idea! I'm in the same boat as dd above, and this would be an excellent quality of life feature.

I really like the new quick shortcuts for Mark as (un)read, Reply, Archive, Junk & Delete in the context menu when browsing items, so perhaps something similar in the context menu for an email address, and maybe also for a subject line.
It might also be good to have options for both quick-filter and full search:
