Making moves
Status: New idea

Currently Firefox users are provided only user names (aliases) for what seems to be most Add-On developers, even though users are trying to decide whether to trust their data to these developers and their Add-Ons. It's really hard to believe this hasn't been addressed. Data on the developer sufficient to answer the questions, "Who is this person and do I have good reason to trust them?", should be provided. It seems that legal name, address, education, and vocation are likely needed, along with information on what Mozilla has done to screen them. Maybe a criminal background check is reasonable. If it's a company, name the legal entity, etc.
