As @Drannex42 said, this thread is for black theme for the UI of Firefox Mobile.
If you want black/dark mode for web contents, please visit the thread in the link below:

BUMP!!!!

Hi! Is there an update on this ? @Jon

This is so easy to implement, requires NO CODE CHANGE as Firefox doesn't depend on Google Play Services , and you COULD gain a significant marketshare there because there isn't a large selection of browser for Huawei. Chrome is broken on Huawei (no sync support, no auto-update which are very much needed for a browser to be suitable in 2023)

Thanks

Another vote for pure black theme or at least black accents to the current dark theme.

This is why Firefox will fail in the end, issues with implementation of relatively easy stuff. This is a must on OLED screens.

Is this instead of a add-on like dark reader?

@FOSSFOSSGOokay thank you but there is already a black homescreen available on mobile.

@Jeppie
I wouldn't call the homescreen "black". It's just grey.

I wish this could be implemented!

It's so stupid that it hasn't been implemented yet.

2024 and Firefox still uses this weird purple blob theme that everyone hates. I have no idea what's going on over there. This can't that difficult.

Been following this since 2022 and still no change.

Disappointing.

I use firefox on laptop specifically because of thier Black theme on laptop which Duckduckgo browser I would prefer to use, doesn't have.

But on phones they refuse to implement the Black theme and so I don't use them, as I find the wierd purple grey thing irritating. It just is always on my head as I look at it.

Why is it with amoled being literally the norm for phones, (even the cheapest phones are now amoled) ,yet Firefox refuses to implement this.

I like firefox but just can't install them if there's another browser that has pure black.

Please address this.
