Option to auto-delete browser history after n sessions

Status: New idea

Browser history is only useful to me as far as being able to to reopen closed tabs from at most the last browser session. Right now the options in Firefox only let you either keep history till you delete it or just not keep history at all. I would like the option to keep browser history for a predetermined numberof sessions (e.g. 1) and after that delete browser history.

I have mine set for “delete upon closing “ or something like that but it doesn’t work.

when I open Firefox again the history is still there. I must delete it manually every time
