An idea for better media control in Firefox.

At the moment, if you need to quickly turn off audio playing on a tab, you need to find it and then right-click to mute the tab. There are no further controls available.

In Chrome, when you play a video or audio, a button appears on the toolbar.

Clicking this button shows a small panel of media control buttons allowing you to pause or skip tracks and even features some artwork. It would be amazing to implement some version of this in the Firefox toolbar.

Recently move back to Firefox from Chrome and this is the biggest missing feature for me so far. Extension doesn't seem to want to work for me either.

Sad to hear that the extension does not work for you. Admittedly, I only tested it with Youtube and Twitch.

add Play Next / Previous button on Taskbar or Widget when listening to Youtube, Amazon... playlists

Idea: add Play Next / Pevious buttons accessible from the PC taskbar or a discrete widget  on top of windows.

Reason: I often listen to music playlists on yt and amz while working on the computer. But it is tedious to skip a song. It takes 4 clicks and screen content switches:

1.  change screen context (ie click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar)

2. click on the tab that is playing the music / video (often have other tabs to search the internet while coding)

3. find the Play Next icon, click it

4. go back to the initial application (click on the taskbar)
