Make the folder pane collapsible - one click contraction and expansion of the folder pane

The folder pane can be hidden and unhidden, but it takes multiple mouse clicks.  Please incorporate one click contraction and expansion of the folder pane, similar to Outlook.  A function keys could also accomplish this.  Also, when the folder pane is hidden the "new message" button is hidden.  Please move this button to make it always visible next to the "spaces menu" icon in upper left corner.
