Make a setting that freezes the thunderbird interface

Acting a "helpdesk" for parents, parents-in-law and other elderly in general I often observe that as age progresses these people more and more have difficulties operating computer and software. When they do sometime they don't realize that, what to them is an arbitrary mouse click, actually modifies the interface of whatever program is active. e.g. the sort order of mail inbox. If that has happened then all of a sudden newest mail is no longer visible at the top of the inbox and urgent help is needed because they claim not able to receive mail......

To prevent this and other mishaps, create a setting that freezes the interface and makes unintended changes as described above impossible.
