It would be cool to see an option to enable Global Privacy Control, which is currently unsupported by the default Safari app but implemented in some 3rd party browsers such as DuckDuckGo's.

Browser supports GPC, but no option exists on mobile Firefox, and can't access about:config.  I would rather not have to download a plugin to complete something that exists within the browser already.  🙏🙏🙏

Firefox 120 supports GPC out of the box.

FYI for anyone who finds this thread, neither of the firefox mobile apps on iOS support the global privacy control signal as of 127.1. You can check by visiting https://globalprivacycontrol.org/

If you look on the Bugzilla meta issue, you can see it was done on desktop and Android, but I don’t see an issue for iOS: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1848951

By the end of 2024, GPC opt-out will be enforceable by law in California, Colorado, Texas, Connecticut, and Montana. It’s a huge win for privacy and I hope Mozilla is able to dedicate resources to implement this on iOS.

(mainly because i’m in one of those states and want to use it)

Hi everyone, thank you taking time and submitting this. I just want to highlight we noticed this thread.

Besides desktop, GPC is now available on Android as well under Settings -> Enhanced Tracking Protection -> Tell websites not to share & sell data. We'll be looking into supporting this on iOS.
