Fully bypass website listeners

there should be a way to stop a website from receiving updates about itself, or the users interaction with it

for example, lazy developers overriding ctl-click on a link (for stuff like tracking, ew) , and not opening it in a new tab like is expected. This would allow us to bypass that listener and use the default browser implementation.

I think (~60% sure) this is currently hidden under a group of four preferences in about:config, but given current trends of internet tracking, it should get exposed into a proper menu in the Privacy settings.
