Filter messages: restore "x" at the far right of the field for deleting field content

When writing in the "Filter messages" field, there used to be an "x" at the far right of the field box and by clicking on it you could delete the whole content of the field box so that the filtering would stop and all the messages would be shown again. Now this "x" is gone and you have to keep pressing backspace to delete the field box's content. It is not that important but it was really convenient, so I would appreciate it if it would return.

Like this X that is in Thunderbird 115 and all the versions since the quick filter was implemented.
