Feature for inserting text-snippets

Firefox shoule get a feature to insert text-snippets with a combination of 2 or 3 letters, a keyboard-shortcut or the use of the 12 function-keys. For a quick and easy insert of often used phrases, greetings etc. This should also support line-breaks to offer things like:

"Sincerely,
NAME"

And to make it perfect, it should also support placeholders for the clipboard and where the cursor should be placed to support automation of things like

"Dear CLIPBOARD,
LINEBREAK
CURSOR
LINEBREAK
Sincerely,
John Doe"

so that you can start typing right where the cursor is.

This would be a great productivity-feature.

I know, that there are extensions for such things, but they don't offen every feature I suggested (e.g. to use the function-keys for inserting) and I think, such a great productivity-feature should be built-in into the core Firefox (some people don't want to or (in companies) are not able or not allowed to install add-ins. But for these users this would be a great feature too.
