In Settings, it is possible to set the file name with which the email is saved when saving the email.

For example:
[Date]_[Time] [Subject]

You want to customize the name of the file being saved??

Currently when I press Ctrl + s while a mail is open the proposed name for the .eml file that will be saved as something like '[subject] - [sender] - [date]' which is not what suits my needs.

Same thing is discussed here and in other forums.
The workaround with this import/export add on tool is not really nice as it does not apply to the ctrl + s function.

Would be great if a config line gets implemented where the naming convention can be changed to own needs.

There maybe already is the same idea here, but I was not 100% sure so I wrote this anyway.

Implementation would be nice 🙂

Thanks for the idea. This indeed sounds like https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/enter-a-file-name-when-saving-an-e-mail/idi-p/57946. I will merge yours to that.
