Hello, the default bookmark panel is able to open a bookmark to a local file (file:///), thus this action is not always a security issue, therefore i suggest to add in the tabs javascript API a method for delegate the opening of a bookmarked local file to Firefox.
I tried several things for bypass this obstacle but nothing works. In my bookmarks i have a bunch of local files for the HTML documentations (Java, CSS, Javascript etc), and i try to code an extension for a bookmark panel (something like Sideberry but more simple), thus this restriction is a burden...
