This suggestion is for the Thunderbird client on mobile phones.
It would be good if you had a toggle function that you could activate when you click on a link in the email that you get a window showing what the full link looks like and if and how you want to open it (standard via browser).
This could be preventive against phishing mails and other dubious content, as you may have clicked on them by mistake
