Hi

In Firefox Mobile and Firefox it would be useful to clear history and cache of websites visited that is older than a certain amount of time or before a specific date. For example, clear data that is older the 3 months, or older 6 months, or older than 14.04.22. At the moment you can only clear recent data or everything.

This would allow you to free space used up by cached files on websites that you are not visiting frequently or recently. This is particularly handy if your mobile device does not have much free storage, but you still want to benefit from reduced download time of having cached files from websites you visit regularly or websites you have visited recently and will look at again soon but will not likely visit again in the long term.

Thank you for upvoting this idea!

@JonYou can delete my idea. It's a duplicate of the other idea. Thanks

This feature should available on all platforms (Windows, Android, Linux, etc.) and products which have history feature (Firefox, Fenix, etc.).

Support browse, delete arbitrary time range history (it would better to support delete all browsing data such as cookies, caches in clear browsing history page), for example, 20230101 0:00-20230215 12:00, date and time fields should able to imput and have "+" and "-" buttons, and date should have a date picker, when click/touch it, pop-up a selectable calendar.

Clear web history by time

I generally use history very little, but I also don't like the idea of not having history or deleting it after closing Firefox. It would be good to add the option to delete history of more than 30 days or 7 days and the same method can be used for cookies.

Please make History Web Extensions API available to Firefox Android.

I've got an extension that deletes history older than a week but adding the cache to would be good.

I'd also add download history to that as well.  I find it utterly pointless as if I open it everything says "Moved or deleted," which is true.  Somethings aren't worth keeping and if they are I'll move them to a more sensible place than where they downloaded to.  A setting to not save it or clear it on closing Firefox, as there is for Cookies and Site Data, would be good enough.

Same as many users. I already clear cache and others upon close, but history remains. That's on purpose, since I do not want to lose all my history. However, 30 days' worth of history is way sufficient for me and I would like to automatically delete whatever is old than X days. I have an extension for this but would love not to have to rely on extensions for something so basic.
