Firefox lets you delete browsing history on exit or to just maintain it and then delete manually. A third option to let users define a certain rate or period/ amount of time in which browsing history could be deleted would add functionality and serve even broader use cases.
As an example, in my case, while researching for a semester's work or even while conducting important research, I might need a 3 month or 6 month interval of browsing history but not more. While researching I might need to go back and see what I've done, but after that interval has passed, surely, I'd not need that information lingering around waiting for a malicious actor of some sorts being able to sneek into it. What I mean is that with this feature there would be a good compromise between practicality and security (not storing browing history more than the time needed) while not having to manually delete it and worry about it or waist cognitive resourses with yet another task that could be automated.
Unlike Vivaldi, which allows you to do this, but for predefined set times (e.g.: weekly, monthly, for 3 months, 6 months or a year), I'm suggesting giving a checkbox where the user could define/input the period according to his needs.
