It would be very useful to allow the user to hide/show the navigation/location toolbar in a tab with a simple command. For example when using a web app it would give the user additional space when they want it and less distraction when they know they don't want to use the location or navigation features in this tab.

I agree that we should be able to hide or show all parts of the browser's "chrome" when desired. I imagine this working like I hit a keyboard shortcut to hide everything like in fullscreen(F11).

Not only location bar, but also ( at choice ) the tab bar : in case of website used as an app, it should only appear when a new tab has been triggered by the actual first main « page ».

Location bar may ensure we are on the expected page and gives access to helpful functionalities even in « webapp » kind of mode.
