I wanted to delete all unread messages. Little did I know that Thunderbird only allows us to sort all read messages in ascending or descending order. This means that if I select all messages at once, I might delete all the read messages along with the unread ones. This is just an example of read/unread messages. Now think about all the sorting options where I want to filter multiple circumstances, here in these situations, things might get a little too difficult.
Hence, an advanced sorting and filter option is indeed a needed feature for all Thunderbird platforms.
