Add native support for the ReplyTo column in the Thunderbird folder pane

This column display in the folder pane is useful for users of Azure DevOps because the email notifications sent for check-ins come from the service managing Azure Devops and the developer that performed the check-in is only listed in the ReplyTo field of the email header. Without seeing this in the folder list view, you don't know who did the check-in without reading the email. It's also not searchable or filterable when looking for check-ins made by a specific developer.

This was never supported natively. I had written an extension to display it, but that became obsolete with Thunderbird updates. The ColumnWizard extension supported it for a while, but it also became obsolete and hasn't been updated. This is automatically supported in Outlook.

Seeing as the Reply-To header field is well defined, I don't see why it's not supported in the same way as the other email header fields such as From, To, Date, Subject, etc.

This is not a "big thing", but it is an annoyance and one of those things that can prevent adoption in enterprises.

This is not a "big thing"

There I don't agree. Let me explain (briefly, I hope). I've been at the pointy end of computing for longer than most. I tried to give up being a nerd about 20 years ago, in the forlorn hope that I could get on with using tech to do what I wanted to do. How naive can you get? As far as I'm concerned, the 3 fields I most want to see before I open an email are From: To: and Reply-To:. So why do I use TBird? The simple answer is that my wife has used it for years and is extremely reluctant to change (anything). In order to keep her from becoming a complete techno-luddite I decided I'd better use it myself so that I could deal with difficulties as they arose. At the moment, she has few such problems - her email address hasn't been exposed in any hacks - but I am constantly fending off all manner of nasties, and the latest one would have been much easier to spot and eliminate if only I had Reply-To: immediately to hand (or to eye).

I's obvious that this "new idea" is going nowhere fast. If it was my software that was under scrutiny, I would feel slightly ashamed that such a well-developed tool had missed such a basic functionality. 

Still, keep up the good work. Just try looking at things from a different perspective occasionally.

a quando questa implementazione ?

the new methods of sending from websites force sending from a common and predefined email combined with the domain itself... therefore it becomes ESSENTIAL to be able to display the REPLAY-TO: field in a dedicated column... when will this implementation be?
