Google Lighthouse is very popular amongst web developers thanks to the early insights it provides.

Unfortunately there is no equivalent on Firefox, no that I found at least. The only thing that is the closest is a poorly rated extension that does not work well.

Performance is a hot topic in web development and the metrics such as the LCP, INP, etc. are precious insights to collect and act on as early as possible.

I really enjoy Firefox and have been for years but it is painful to be forced to switch to benefit of such tools.

Would a port or an equivalent be possible?

We've been discussing how to support Lighthouse (or similar tools) in Firefox DevTools, as these types of "audit" tools are popular among developers.

I'd be curious to know which specific features you are interested in.

Have you tried Firefox Profiler?

I find the firefox profiler too confusing, I'm sure with a bit of extra effort it would provide a lot more insights.

However having come from Chrome, the cut and dry performance scores and a list of recommendations gives an instant overview on where a website could be improved. I have not yet been able to digest all the information that the profiler gives me to understand where I can improve (or am even looking at).

For a start it would be helpful to have a checkmark with the "Start Profile" button that would instantly do a page reload before it starts recording.
