Sorrel posted here a MR to Nixpkgs that he/she submitted to mark Mozilla's Firefox distribution as not free. The logic is sound: Mozilla now places restrictions on the use of Firefox, violating the Free Software Foundation's Freedom 0. Freedom 0 states:
"The freedom to run the program as you wish, for any purpose (freedom 0)."
Source.
Mozilla's terms of use state:
"You agree that you will not use Firefox to infringe anyone’s rights or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
You will not do anything that interferes with or disrupts Mozilla’s services or products (or the servers and networks which are connected to Mozilla’s services)."
Source.
These two quotes are clearly contradictory. Mozilla, do you agree and do you have anything to say in response?
