SEARCH MAIL BY DATE

I was wondering if it would be possible to search received mail by sorting selected dates as if you need to select only the mail you received in on specific day. That would be awesome!

Use the keystroke Ctrl+Shift +F I think it has been on the edit menu of Thunderbird menu bar since version 2

Or in list view,  you can sort messages simple by clicking the date heading into date order, and reverse the sort by clicking it again.

If using the global search (ctrl+K)  there is a timeline at the top of returned search results that when clicked offer further refinement of results sometime multiple clicks there are required to get down to a single date as the initial results are by year and month
