Page Translator for Firefox Android

I wonder how Page Translator is missing on Firefox Android. Please Introduce a Page Translator.

You can enable firefox-translations in secret settings.

@JonI'm so excited that this feature is in development. I hope a small pop-up window with a translation offer will be made, which does not interfere with viewing the site page. It has not been possible to find such a function yet. Only a pop-up window is available, which takes up half the screen, which is not very convenient.

webpage translation on mobile (android)

I crucially miss the ability to translate a webpage from a foreign language in real-time.

for it to be effective it must convert all the elements (menus, buttons etc), similar to the Google translate integration on Google Chrome. I've recently been able to do that on Firefox desktop. it worked quite well so it might be a new feature? but it's far more useful on mobile, where it's currently unavailable.

I live in a foreign country and I often have to tackle entire websites and webapps that I cannot read or understand. this is the only reason I haven't switched from Chrome to Firefox full time on mobile. I don't have a choice not to use these websites and I wish Firefox, as my browser, would breach this language gap for me.

How exactly do I use the  translation feature? I tried to load a Spanish Wikipedia page on the app, but I see no option in the menu to translate the page. Same for Firefox Beta. I have both apps updated in Google Play. The version is 126.0.1 for the normal version and 127.0.b9 for the beta version.

Also, where can I see a list of supported languages?

@Jonnimbus expirements isn't delivered in my opinion. I don't know if you knew that the release was delayed because of to many bugs. What was know sometime ago but don't know if you got that info. @nnaaaaaaaaaaa if you want firefox-translations go to settings and then to about firefox then click 5 times on the firefox logo then you will unlock some extra settings. Go to nimbus expirements and scroll down until you see "full page translations on android" click on that and click then on basic-translations-enabled. Close the app and reopen it then go to the mozilla spanish website then it will show a popup if you want to translate it if not click then on the 3 dot on the right side of your bar then there should be a button page translate under the button search on page. If your firefox is in spanish go to mozilla germany then you will get the same stuff as above. About the available languages I'm not pretty sure if this list is correct. Bulgarian, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish, Russian, Indonesian, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Greek, Finnish, Swedish, Romanian, Danish, Bosnian, Catalanthen Vietnamese, Norwegian, Slovak, Basque, Ukrainian, Galician, Slovenian, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Croatian, Serbian, Latvian, Valenciano. If you want to be sure type about:translations in the search bar and press on enter. You will get a simple page with text translations click on detect language to see the available languages and on select language to see the available languages. The detect language haves more available languages then the select because those are i think still in beta but if you are okay with reading english you will be fine. I'm not sure that all detect language are also available for page translate. One thing good to know is that they will begin development of the languages Japanese, Chinese and Korean in the second halve of this year. If you need more info just ask me.

@Jon Thank you. It seems like the feature just has not landed for everyone (including me) yet.

I mostly need translation support for East Asian languages, especially Japanese, so I'm eagerly waiting for those. The Japanese option already had an idea submitted, so I've upvoted it.

@nnaaaaaaaaaaaif you don't have the translation option like me. You need to enable it in nimbus expirements to get it.

@nnaaaaaaaaaaa Support for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese translations (plus others) is planned for the second half of this year - so starting soon.
