Firefox Android: enable default desktop mode from settings via on/off button

I don't think I'm the only one who has this need, i think all tablet users - or at least most - prefer to use Firefox in desktop mode, because many web pages viewed in desktop mode are more complete and better formatted. 

Due to the spread of tablets, however, in multiple platforms, it also seems unlikely to me to be the first to present this idea . . .

So I wonder why even today Firefox for android does not allow the possibility to permanently set the desktop mode via switch.  

In order not to be misunderstood, I am aware of the existence of the "Desktop site" button and its use. Unlike the functioning of this slider, I would like that in the settings of Firefox for android there was - for specific use on tablets - an option that changes the user agent from mobile to desktop, until revoked.

I'm not thinking of a plugin that would still be highly appreciated, but of an integrated feature in Firefox.

Is it possible to consider this implementation?

Aaand, gone again in 133.01, but with a promise it will come back (not there by 133.03).

I sure hope it does because it's really needed. Quite apart from poorly-designed mobile sites and obvious large-screen use cases like tablets and Samsung Dex, there's the fact that YouTube will only play in background if the page is in desktop mode...

Full marks to the developers for trying, hoping it's soon.

Why is it no longer available in 134.0.2 ? It's really important feature to have on larger tablets and foldables. When it will be available again?

Welcome back everyone...

For months I have been suggesting that - at least on tablets, on devices with large screens and for anyone who wants it - a fixed desktop mode setting, available until the user disables it in addition to the sliders to be activated each time.

There have been many confirmations from users of the need for this implementation, both from those who have tablets, or large tablets (mine for example is 14"), but also from those who find desktop mode more complete, better formatted and easier to use.

There are other similar requests on the forum and feedback but to date they have been ignored, and yet Firefox is a browser that has frequent updates, this implementation is easy to implement and has no side effects...

Why delay any longer?
