Dex Autodetect

The mobile version of Firefox should have an auto detect if it is running in Samsung Dex.

The Browser should automatically switch to Desktop Mode when running in Samsung Dex.

All new opened Tabs should run in Desktop Mode when running in Samsung Dex.

In Desktop Mode a webside allways should fit into the Browser Window similar the Desktop Version

I voted the idea. But It is not enough. I couldn't wrote this comment on Firefox due unnecessary bigger input fields. I am using 24inch display and the screenshot comparison with Samsung Internet Browser ,and Firefox, desktop view enabled.

Im currently looking for anyway to make firefox work smoter for dex on my s23 ultra as its my main browser however it is tedius to switch to desktop mode all the time and the auto zoom on input fealds is also very disturbing while in dex mode i love if it become overal better with dex

It works on Samsung Internet, and Google Chrome. To compete it is nescessary for Firefox to implement it. Too much lazines make it falling behind.

I'm starting to wonder if Mozilla cares at all about having a DeX or at least a tablet mode for firefox. do any of the custom browsers for android that use Gecko have DeX support?

Firefox needs to correct the presentation of pages in dex mode especially when we want to view the content in desktop mode.

Yeah to all of this. Was super excited about release 133 but the reality is it's just a always on desktop mode.it doesn't address the massively zoomed in page tendering still happening.

That side by side of firefox vs samsung browsers shows the problem perfectly.

I love firefox across all devices but as dex and my phone become ever more my primary device if it doesn't work I'm going to think about trying something else.

In old firefox you could set / force the user agent and that'd improve the page zoom but doesn't seem possible on android anymore. Other than an addon that can potentially access all data
