Status: New idea

I have returned to Firefox as my primary browser, on all my apple devices.  I have noticed that Firefox on iOS 16 allows for AirPlay and to me this is wonderful.  I was wondering if this feature could be added to the MacOS version of FireFox.

I too used to think I needed this, but I'd say pretty much everything that can be achieved by implementing such a feature in Firefox on MacOS already can be achieved in Firefox by using the native MacOS Screen Mirroring feature in Extended Display mode. Right now I'm watching & listening to YouTube on Firefox on MacOS playing Shotgun Jazz Band via my Apple TV. The audio and video quality is excellent. It's a little bit more fiddly than Safari's Airplay implementation, but once I got the hang of it there was not much to it.

If there's a particular use case I'm missing I'd welcome those on this thread elaborating. After using Safari for this purpose for a long time, however, I've realised Screen Mirroring does the job in Extended Display Mode. Please note I'm not trying to discourage anyone on this thread asking, just suggesting an alternative for those who might not realise they can achieve a similar result in a slightly different way.
