Z-index issue

I just recently noticed that if I'm clicking on a pop up window or trying to return to a website by clicking on the address bar that I am now able to click on a link underneath the window, not a link on the current window that I'm interacting with.  As an example, if I go to address bar and it pops up a window of previously visited sites, I click on a site I would like to visit again but instead of taking me there it sends me to a link from my bookmarks toolbar which is directly underneath the list of my previously visited sites window. This is new behavior.  I'm using 127.0.2 on a macbook pro sonoma 14.5.

That's strange! Firefox usually only sends the click to the front-most/top-most element.

Firefox 128 is releasing later this week. If the problem continues, could you test with hardware acceleration disabled? This bypasses bugs specific to video card drivers and while it disables some important features, it's a useful test. More info on that setting in the following article:

Turns out it was a wonky mouse issue.  Firefox is fine.
