Why you cannot delete Àll Mails` in Thunderbird ?

Reason is that you have 2 [Gmail].sbd in your imap.gmail.com Profile. Here is instruction in Linux           ( same goes with Windows, but diffrent kind of "Path") : home->.thunderbird->(Profile)    xxxxxx.default-release->ImapMail->imap.gmail.com->[Gmail].std. If there is 2, rewrite one by one           Old_[Gmail].std to see which is working to delete "All Mails"-file.

My TB-version is 102. Win 10 TB 115 horrible. I hade to go back to 102 in Windows 10.

Best way to empty "All Mails" is to go Gmail ( if you are using Gmail ) account and do the cleaning there. Because "All Mails" are restored there, that is why Mails are coming back to Thanderbird, when you are "Deleting" Mails on Thunderbird "All Mails" !

I have found that if you run the filter manually on a imap Gmail account you can then select ALL MAIL in "run selected filter(s) on:" at the bottom of the page, if your filter "perform these actions" is "Delete Message", when you run the filter it deletes the message from ALL MAIL and INBOX, it is removed for Gmail totally

If you see two [Gmail].sbd folders in imap.gmail.com, rename one (e.g., Old_[Gmail].sbd) to check which is active before deleting files. Deleting emails in Thunderbird’s "All Mail" doesn’t remove them permanently from CM Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance and Gmail restores them via IMAP. For full removal, delete emails directly in Gmail. Alternatively, run a manual filter in Thunderbird with "Delete Message" on "All Mail" to erase emails from both Gmail and Thunderbird.

I hope it helps Thank you 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
