Greetings! I have been using Thunderbird for the last 5-1/2 years since I came to this job.
Outlook was not installed on my computer and I like FireFox, so I installed Thunderbird.
I find it much easier to use than Outlook and like it a lot.
But ever since the last update it lags very badly. I can click Delete on an email and it will sit there for 60 seconds or more "Not Responding"
I am using a newer Windows 10 machine with plenty of RAM, which tells me it must be something with the software.

Hi, the same thing happens to me, but when I start Thunderbird every morning, while it downloads each email to its corresponding folder, it does NOT allow me to perform any action (compose, read, any email already downloaded) because it goes into NO RESPONSE mode, and I have to wait for it to finish what it is doing to continue with the writing or reading I was doing). It is very annoying and a waste of time.
And the worst thing is that I have tried updating Thunderbird, and it continues to appear NO RESPONSE.
Does anyone have a solution to suggest?
