In ThunderBird 115.4.1 (64-bit), if I click the "Delete" menu bar link, the current message is deleted. If I then highlight a new message and press "Enter" to read the message, the message is deleted instead.
If I delete a message using the "Delete" key on my keyboard, the "Enter" key will open the currently highlighted message for reading.
This is inconsistent behavior. I expect the "Enter" key to open a message for reading, not repeat the last link I clicked on.
