Why is it, when you search in lists on Firefox, and when you go back in Firefox, the list starts from the top, while you search in Chrome, the search goes on where you left...

This varies depending on the page. Sites with ads often want to show you new ads and will force a refresh when you go Back. Others may forbid browsers from caching the page, although this is not always honored. On mobile, I suspect that memory constraints could be an issue in this behavior.

One option is, instead of leaving the list page, open the link in a new tab. You can use any of these methods:

  • right-click the link > Open Link in New Tab
  • middle-click the link with the mouse scroll wheel (if you have a scroll wheel)
  • hold down Ctrl while clicking the link (on Mac, hold down Command while clicking the link)

If there is a particular site you want someone to look at, feel free to mention it (assuming it's family friendly).
