I am quite certain that someone on the FF dev team thinks this is a great enhancement. Equally, there are likely many users who absolutely LOVE that FF now does this. For some, like myself however, it is both annoying and frustrating - that FIREFOX pins to the windows taskbar: Without my permission and there is absolutely no option available to DISABLE it in Firefox. about:config shows no obvious method to turn that so-called feature OFF. It would be BEST PRACTICE to provide the end user an easy ability to DISABLE this.
