I have been using the Firefox Developer Edition for several months now. Honestly, I don't think I am really using any of the features in particular that give me an advantage over the regular edition.
However, after this latest update it is clear that this Edition might be seen as not trustworthy. Having already updated my Developer Edition many, many times, I innocently ran another update that came in. After restarting the browser, ALL of my bookmarks were gone.
WARNING: If you use the Developer Edition, or perhaps ANY edition, then back up your bookmarks first. This has left a bad taste in my mouth for now with Mozilla.

Were you able to recover using a bookmark backup? See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them
If you get an error message during the restore, it's a good idea to do a normal shutdown and restart of your system to release file locks.

I don't think this is related to the just moving or restoring bookmarks. Looks like there is a bug with the new version. My account shows as it is synched so it should show the bookmark but the whole bar is gone and it is not the only thing that disappeared unfortunately.
