Hello Android users!
Our last Thunderbird/K-9 Mail release of 2024 has just landed on the Google Play Store, and should be landing on the F-Droid store within five days of our merge request being accepted.
So, what’s new in this latest point release? First of all, we have our initial updates to the account icons - and we’re going to keep improving the account drawer, so this is only the start of those changes:
Thank you to everyone who submitted ideas on this topic, and to everyone who upvoted and commented on them!

Secondly, we have a more prominent link to our support article for Gmail login issues, for anyone who might be encountering them
The full changelog is available on our GitHub page: https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/releases/tag/THUNDERBIRD_8_2. We’d especially like to highlight the work of our community contributors, especially those making their first contributions in this release!
And you don’t have to be a developer to contribute to Thunderbird. If you love helping other Thunderbird for Android users and have good troubleshooting skills, consider supporting Thunderbird for Android users on Mozilla Support (SUMO). Thunderbird’s community support is one of its biggest strengths, and we are grateful to everyone who helps us answer questions. We have a great Office Hours with Wayne Mery on how to get started on SUMO, as well as a guide on TopicBox.
