I've been using Beta versions of Thunderbird for some years now, and of the few issues that occurred, most were resolved within a few builds. However, ever since Beta v122 (up to v123 b2), my mail is no longer marked as read when viewed.
Here is what I've done so far to attempt to resolve the issue:
1) Disabled the one add on I use
2) Did both compact and repair on the folders
3) Renamed the session file so a new one was generated
4) Turned off and on, with restarts, the setting to mark mail read when viewed
Unfortunately none of these helped. There are 7,144 emails in total across my various accounts in Thunderbird. Is this issue due to that amount? I'd like to add that the number at the time of update to Beta v122 was 6,970, and that same number of emails worked fine on the previous Beta series.
I can manually mark them read, which I am doing now, but it's a bit tedious.
I was going to report this as a bug on bugzilla, but looking through there I don't see anyone else having this issue, so I thought I'd check here first in case anyone else is having this occur, or knows of a solution.
