Hi there,
I just had an unpleasant discover. a suspicious activity on my mozilla account on January that urged me to change my password. Actually, My firefox account was disconnected from all devices. after that in the 6th February, I started receiving email with passwords from my sync list.
basically my firefox account is not shared and no one has / had ever access to it and it is present on 2 devices only. for many years I had it it had 1 security issues last january.
Today I am sure this account has been hacked and the hacker is blackmailing me mixing facts and falshoow to make me pay ransom.
funfact the attacker sent an ultimatum of 2 days and a half obviously not very accurate since 50 hours isn't equal to that amount of time 😛
I think there are some cyber criminals that have successed into breaching Mozillas security and mostly it seems AI based when checking the writing on the emails no human can talk like that even if it mixed well some security facts like malicious morphing signature / driver based attack or middle man exploit using gmail.
is there any steps one can make to avoid having issues with mozila since Google doesn't like it and event buffers streaming of youtube when on FF same content never delays on chrome (I just don't like it period)
peace
