Firefox (latest version) will use up a lot of memory as it is opened for a longer time. I have observed this many times. At the most exaggerated time, it took up more than 5G of memory, and even caused the computer to become stuck when the memory was full.
I just fixed 4 tabs and a task manager tab.
I didn't touch it, and didn't care about the browser. At first, it only took up a few hundred megabytes. After a while, I went to see a webpage that I didn't touch and it took up 1G of memory. The task manager showed that the memory used by other tasks also increased.
I think this is very strange. Why does the memory usage of a webpage increase exponentially after a period of time when it is left there?
