Firefox 135.0 (64-bit) Windows 10 Pro (also used on Win11, Win11 Pro, Ubuntu 22.04LTS, etc.)
Performance - Speed, memory usage, processor usage, are dramatically improving for the last handful of releases. Whatever you're doing which results in these quality and performance improvements, please keep it up. This is restoring my faith in Firefox.
The 6 months prior, my 32GB machine would be choked out of memory and the CPU's would be running at 75+%. Task manager showed the culprit to be Firefox using ¾+ of all the machine's memory after an 8-hour day, and killing the machine overnight.
Then I noticed about 3–5 releases ago that Firefox seemed to have a cleanup task which released memory. The first version I saw doing this seemed to also be using a lot of CPU. Now memory is way more reasonable, 1.5G-4GB, CPU usage is down closer to where it should be, and the 5+ computers I use it on are working much better. New releases aren't just about new features, they're also about performance/quality.
I use Firefox for privacy, multi-account containers to keep Amazon, Facebook, YouTube and others from sharing cookie information. Sharing of cookie information is prompting ads to inappropriately display medical and other stolen information in other applications. It's like having a 5yo child running around and yelling "guess what..." to anybody who'll listen.
Keep it up guys, you're headed in the right direction. Keep making Firefox amazing and the Internet safer to use!
