Firefox is Outmanoeuvered

I like the Firefox concept and I have steadfastly stuck with it for decades. But that loyalty is getting harder to maintain. Increasingly, the solution to a web performance issue is to switch to Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

I have neither the interest nor the technical knowledge to research a possible Firefox solution each time this happens. In that light, don't you think that it's time to give in and go with the flow? My personal productivity suggests that it is.

Hello jhsp.  I don't know your situation of course, but I've run Firefox with hundreds, even thousands of tabs without major problems.  I'd encourage you to create a https://profiler.firefox.com/ and submit a bug report.
