Edit (verb): "to make changes  to a text  or film , deciding  what will be removed  and what will be kept  in, in order  to prepare  it for being printed  or shown" - Cambridge Dictionary.

We're evaluating different PDF editors and someone mentioned that Firefox can edit PDF's.  No it can't.
It can:

  • Add text
  • Add images
  • Draw (eg. a signature)
  • Highlight

It can also change display settings like orientation etc.
These are functions I would class as "Add to PDF's".

What it can't do:

  • EDIT A PDF!

A true PDF editor should be able to edit existing text, remove or replace existing text. Remove existing graphic elements, and at least all of the "Add to" features listed above.

Try again Mozilla!
